Anatomy of a verified credential

Every public verification page shows the following, in this order — lifecycle first, decoration never.

  1. Lifecycle status. Issued, revoked, superseded, disputed, or expired — stated before anything else.
  2. Tamper check. Dual signatures (HMAC-SHA256 + Ed25519) validated against published keys.
  3. Holder and domain. Who earned it and what course it covers, with the overall mastery score.
  4. Four-dimensional evidence. Per-chapter recall, transfer, error-recognition, and explanation results.
  5. Evidence digest. Content-addressed hashes binding the credential to the exact evidence records.
  6. What it proves / does not prove. Plain-language honesty, including the identity-assurance boundary.
  7. Offline verification bundle. Everything needed to re-verify the signature with no call to our servers.

Frequently asked questions

What does a credential prove?
That the account holder produced mastery evidence across recall, transfer, error recognition, and explanation for every chapter, passed a final exam, and completed a malware-scanned capstone. The per-chapter evidence is attached to the credential itself.
What does it NOT prove?
Real-world identity. StudAI Loop does not perform identity verification or proctoring, and every credential says so explicitly. It is honest evidence of account-holder mastery, not a government ID.
Can a credential be faked?
A credential is signed with two independent schemes (HMAC-SHA256 and Ed25519). Verification keys are published, and an offline verification bundle lets anyone check the signature without contacting our servers. Tampering with the payload breaks the signatures.
What if a credential is revoked or disputed?
The public verification page shows lifecycle status first — issued, revoked, superseded, disputed, or expired. Status changes are visible to anyone holding the link.
